We often think come across many
situations where we are afflicted with skin diseases. There are many cures for
skin diseases, and you might be surprised, but the bacteria on our skin can
save us from skin diseases.
Many people take bacteria in a
negative context and that it’s only meant to be eradicated. But, many studies
show that good bacteria also exist. The common skin bacteria are called
Bacterium. This bacterium was once discovered in a patient who had a case of
severe acne which is why it is also known as Propionibacterium acnes. But many
doctors are still not sure whether this bacterium is responsible for causing
Acne or not.
The genome of the bacteria is known
to have several genes that are capable of generating enzymes that can degrade
skin and proteins that may be immunogenic. This bacterium is known to live in
association with the human body in a group that is known as a microbiome. The
bacterial cells outnumber the cells in the human body by more than ten to one.
There are Skin Specialist in AIIMS Hospital and Skin Doctor in Malviya Nagar that say this bacterium can protect
the human skin. This bacterium secretes a protein called RoxP that contains a
natural antioxidant. It is known for being protective against oxidative stress.
This bacterium is also known for
reducing free radicals and protecting the molecules in our skin from oxidation.
This prevents many skin diseases because many of them are caused by sun
exposure. This common bacterium is also associated with many skin benefits.
Specialists like the Skin Specialist in
AIIMS Hospital and Skin Doctor in Malviya Nagar say that common bacteria is known for preventing atopic
dermatitis, skin cancer, and even psoriasis along with many other diseases.
These bacteria vary in quantities
from one person to another which in turn affects the amount of protein Roxp
secreted. Scientists are still trying to study the effects of these bacteria on
skin diseases, and they plan to examine the functions of the bacteria and
whether it is capable of shielding the human skin from larger quantities of UV
radiation.
The amount of bacteria produced on
the human skin and the degree of illness should both be manageable for
achieving proper results. Whether we can use them in sunscreens or not cannot
be decided yet.
